ZARINA ALEXANDER

Co-Founder, CEO, Neocrete

Zarina Alexander is the co-founder and CEO of Neocrete, a New Zealand climate-tech company developing low-carbon concrete technology to decarbonise one of the world’s most emissions-intensive industries.

Since founding Neocrete in 2018, Zarina has led the company from early R&D in a converted shipping container in South Auckland to international pilot projects and partnerships with global cement and concrete producers across Europe, Asia, and the US.

Under her leadership, Neocrete has developed technology capable of replacing significant amounts of cement in concrete using low-carbon materials such as volcanic ash and industrial waste products - reducing both carbon emissions and cost while improving durability.

Today, Neocrete is exporting hundreds of tonnes of their product per month from its pilot plant as it scales toward global commercial deployment.
